DLSA Karbi Anglong Driver Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Karbi Anglong has released Advertisement No. (02/2026) dated 16 May 2026 for the engagement of 1 Unreserved Driver on contractual basis in the establishment of the District Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA. The selection will be made purely on merit basis through a Skill Test and Viva-Voce. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.

Who Can Apply?

• Citizenship: You must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class VIII (Eight).
• Driving Licence: You must hold a valid LMV Driving Licence issued at least 3 years before the advertisement date.
• Experience: Preference will be given to experienced candidates.
• Candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: As per Government of Assam guidelines
• Determinative date: 01 January 2026

Salary

• Fixed pay: Rs. 15,000 per month
• The engagement is on a purely contractual basis in the establishment of the District Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, Karbi Anglong.

Selection Process

Selection will be made purely on merit basis through two stages:

1. Skill Test: 20 marks. Eligible candidates will be called for a Driving Test.
2. Viva-Voce: 30 marks. Candidates who qualify the skill test will be called for the interview.

Note: No separate call letters will be issued. The list of eligible candidates for the skill test and viva-voce will be uploaded on districts.ecourts.gov.in or karbianglongjudiciary.gov.in. You will have to appear for the Driving Test and Interview at your own expenses — no TA/DA will be paid.

   • Two recent coloured passport size photos
   • Experience Certificate (if any)

• Maintain the vehicle log book and record daily trips accurately

• Assist DLSA officials during official tours, legal aid camps, and outreach programmes
• Be available for duty during office hours and on call when required
