CSIR-NIScPR Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 15 Posts
CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi, has released Advertisement No. NIScPR/RDSF/VI/2026-R&A for project staff engagement. The posts are linked to projects on Delhi-NCR AQI forecasting, green hydrogen climate impact, CSIR technology impact assessment, hemophilia landscape analysis, and energy security policy pathways. Who Can Apply?
For PAT-I Posts
- AQI project: B.E./B.Tech in Engineering/Technology or M.Sc./MCA/Integrated Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Science or related disciplines.
- Socio-economic and energy projects: Master's/Integrated Master's in Natural, Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences, MVSc, Animal Sciences, M.Pharm, B.E./B.Tech, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine as mentioned for the project.
- Higher fellowship pay: PAT-I may get Rs. 31,000 + HRA if the candidate has NET/GATE or equivalent national-level qualification; otherwise it is Rs. 25,000 + HRA.
For PAT-II Posts
- Qualification: Master's/Integrated Master's or B.E./B.Tech/Master's in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline, depending on the project.
- Experience: Several PAT-II posts need 2 years of R&D experience after the required qualification.
- Higher fellowship pay: PAT-II may get Rs. 35,000 + HRA if the candidate has NET/GATE or equivalent national-level qualification; otherwise it is Rs. 28,000 + HRA.
For Project Assistant-I, Senior PAT and Project Scientist II
- Project Assistant-I: You need SSC/10th plus ITI for the hemophilia project support role.
- Senior PAT: You need relevant Master's/Integrated Master's, Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology/Medicine, or doctoral qualification with the experience pattern stated in the notice.
- Project Scientist II: You need a Doctoral Degree in Science or Master's/Integrated Master's in relevant engineering or technology fields, along with 5 years of R&D experience.
Useful Skills
- Data and coding: Python/R, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, time-series forecasting and model evaluation.
- Environment and policy: AQI analysis, pollutant datasets, environmental modelling, green hydrogen, renewable energy and S&T policy.

Age Limit
- PAT-I, PAT-II and Project Assistant-I: Maximum age is 35 years.
- Senior PAT and Project Scientist II: Maximum age is 40 years.
- Age reference date: Age will be counted as on the date of the walk-in interview, which is 30 June 2026.
- Age relaxation: Relaxation is available as per rules.
Salary
- Project Assistant-I: Rs. 18,000 + HRA per month.
- PAT-I: Rs. 25,000 + HRA, or Rs. 31,000 + HRA for NET/GATE/equivalent qualified candidates.
- PAT-II: Rs. 28,000 + HRA, or Rs. 35,000 + HRA for NET/GATE/equivalent qualified candidates.
- Senior PAT: Rs. 42,000 + HRA per month.
- Project Scientist II: Rs. 67,000 + HRA per month.
The salary depends on the post and qualification category. HRA will be paid as per the applicable rules of the sponsoring agency, and the notice says selected project staff must arrange their own accommodation.
Selection Process

Minimum Qualification
