CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune has released Notice No. 2026/CSIR-NCL/PSE/SSP307226/745 for project staff under the project Synthesis and performance evaluation of thermoplastic polyurethane and polyether block amide elastomers for shoe mid-sole application. The notice covers 1 Project Associate-I and 1 Senior Project Associate. These are temporary project posts, and the engagement will remain linked to the sponsored project tenure and satisfactory performance.

The work is suitable for candidates who want hands-on research experience in polymer synthesis, polymer characterization and elastomer performance testing. Senior Project Associate

• Qualification: You need a Master's or Integrated Master's degree in Natural Sciences from a recognised university.
• Experience: You also need 3 years of R&D experience in industrial, academic, science and technology organisations, or scientific activities and services.
• Preferred qualification: M.Sc Organic Chemistry with 3 years of research experience in polymer synthesis.
• Work area: The role focuses on polymer synthesis and characterization.

Project Conditions

• Temporary engagement: This is not a regular CSIR-NCL post. The appointment stays linked to the sponsored project and can end with the project tenure.

Age Limit

Salary

• Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA for candidates with CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR, ICMR NET, lectureship/assistant professorship, GATE or eligible national-level exam qualification.
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA for candidates who do not fall under the higher-stipend condition.
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000 per month as fixed project salary.
• Allowances: HRA is mentioned for the Project Associate-I salary slab. Other regular-job allowances are not mentioned because these are temporary project posts.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for CSIR-NCL project staff is based on screening and online interview. If many applications are received, the Project Leader may shortlist candidates using qualification and experience above the minimum requirement.

2. Shortlist Notification: Shortlisted names will be displayed on the website or divisional notice board on 19 June 2026.
