Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA), an autonomous body under the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Bihar, has released a contractual recruitment notice for KISCE Bihar. The selected staff will work at the State Centre of Excellence, Rajgir with athletes, coaches and sports science teams. The strongest point of this notice is the high salary range, especially for High Performance Director, Doctor, Nutritionist and Strength and Conditioning Lead.

This is a contract-based engagement for an initial period of two years. The term can be extended annually for up to three more years based on performance, review and scheme requirement, with a maximum tenure of five years. Posts may change with workload, but the notice gives 17 indicative vacancies.

Who Can Apply?

Performance, sports science and conditioning posts

• High Performance Director: You need Master Sports, MSI, Ph.D or MBA with at least 10 years of research experience, or strong India-level player or coaching credentials with sports management or research experience.
• Physiologist: You need MBBS or a Master's degree in Medical Physiology, Human Physiology, or Sports and Exercise Physiology.
• Strength and Conditioning: You need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Science, Sports Science or Sports Coaching, or any graduation with recognised strength and conditioning or fitness certification.
• Psychologist: You need a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology, Sports Psychology, Developmental Psychology or Child Development.

Medical, nutrition and rehabilitation posts

• Nutritionist/Dietitian: You need M.Sc Nutrition and at least five years of experience, including one year with sports academies or institutions.
• Physiotherapist: You need a Master's in Physiotherapy with at least three years of physiotherapy experience.
• Sports Medicine Doctor: You need a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine recognised by the erstwhile MCI.
• Nursing Assistant: You need a Diploma in Nursing from a recognised university or institute. Hospital experience is desirable.

Support, administration and yoga posts

• Masseuse: You need 10+2 with a certificate course or skill development programme in massage therapy, sports masseur or related training, plus two years of experience.
• Young Professional: You need a Master's degree, equivalent qualification, or Bachelor's degree with PG Diploma in Sports Management. Graduates with at least three years of work experience can also apply.
• Yoga Instructor: You need a Bachelor's degree with Diploma in Yoga Studies and one year of relevant experience.

Age Limit

• High Performance Director: Up to 65 years as on the closing date.
• Strength and Conditioning Lead/Expert, Physiotherapist, Sports Medicine Doctor, Nursing Assistant: Up to 45 years as on the closing date.
• Physiologist and Nutritionist/Dietitian: Up to 40 years as on the closing date.
• Masseuse, Psychologist and Yoga Instructor: Up to 35 years as on the closing date.
• Young Professional: Up to 32 years as on the closing date.

Salary

• Highest salary: High Performance Director can get Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
• Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,00,000: Strength and Conditioning Lead and Sports Medicine Doctor Grade II.
• Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 1,00,000: Nutritionist/Dietitian.
• Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 80,000: Physiologist Grade 2 and Strength and Conditioning Expert.
• Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000: Physiologist Grade 1, Psychologist Grade I, Physiotherapist Grade I and Young Professional.
• Fixed monthly salary: Masseuse gets Rs. 35,000, while Nursing Assistant and Yoga Instructor get Rs. 25,000.
• Allowances: The contract does not include DA, HRA, residential accommodation, medical reimbursement, LTC or similar benefits. TA/DA may apply only for official tours as per rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

BSSA will first shortlist applicants using education, experience, sports-sector exposure, certifications and post-wise scoring criteria. Only shortlisted applicants will be called for the interview.

1. Shortlisting: Post-wise criteria such as higher qualification, work experience, sports establishment experience, certification, marks and achievements will be used.
2. Interview: Interview marks vary by post. Most technical posts carry a 100-mark interview, while Masseuse and Yoga Instructor have a 50-mark interview.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates at the time of joining. If documents are not produced, candidature can be cancelled.
