BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI), an institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, has released Recruitment Notice No. THS/RN/07/2026. The post is Senior Manager, one Unreserved vacancy, to be filled by direct recruitment or deputation. This is a senior administrative role for people who have handled government, autonomous body, university, finance, HR or institute administration work at a high level.

The Senior Manager will act as the Head of Administration and support the Executive Director on administrative and financial matters. The role covers Personnel, General Administration, Academics, Finance and Accounts, Stores and Purchase, Engineering, IT, Legal, IPR, Grants Management and Business Development.   • Service background: Officials from Central Government, State Government, universities, PSUs, government-funded research organizations or institutions can apply.
  • Pay level condition: You should hold an analogous post on regular basis, or have 10 years in Level 11 or 5 years in Level 12 of the pay matrix.
  • Qualification condition: You should also have the qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment.

Age Limit

  • Direct Recruitment: Maximum age is 50 years.
  • Deputation: Maximum age is 56 years.
  • Crucial date: Age, qualification and experience will be checked as on the closing date, 20 June 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: PwBD (UR) gets 10 years; government servants get 5 years after three years of continuous service; ex-servicemen get 5 years after at least five years of military service; THSTI and departmental staff get relaxation as stated in the notice.

Responsibilities

  • Handle overall administration across Personnel, General Administration, Academics, Finance, Stores, Engineering, IT, Legal, IPR and grants sections
  • Support the Executive Director on administrative and financial matters
  • Implement government policies, service rules and administrative procedures at the institute
  • Ensure compliance with RTI, vigilance, audit and government reporting requirements
  • Monitor office discipline, workflow and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, parliamentary questions and official replies
  • Control expenditure and track proper use of government funds
  • Organize official meetings, VIP visits, events, conferences and administrative correspondence

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduate with PG Degree/Diploma in HR, Finance or equivalent, or CA/ICWA, with 15 years supervisory post-qualification experience in Central Government, autonomous body or university

Preferred Qualification

Knowledge of government rules and regulations and experience working in a computerized environment
