Bharat Electronics Limited Advisor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has released Advertisement No. 6050/QR/ADV/HR/A&A/2026-27 for one Advisor post. This is a specialist defence technology role for retired officers from Government, PSUs, Research Organisations, Labs, or Defence Forces. Selection is through interview or personal interaction, so the shortlist will depend heavily on your declared experience and documents.

Work profile: This is not a general administrative Advisor role. BEL is looking for someone who can guide missile, rocket, artillery weapon system, fire control, ground system and combat command-control integration work from development through testing, deployment and firing trials.

Who Can Apply?

Education and Service Background

• Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Retired officer requirement: You should be a retired officer from Government, PSU, Research Organisation, Lab, or Defence Forces.
• Pay level condition: The applicant should have been in Pay Level 14 or above.
• Experience: You need 25 years of experience in weapon system development with a proven record in design and development.

Technical Experience

• Artillery and rocket systems: Knowledge of artillery rockets, automated multi-barrel rocket launchers, Battery Command Post, and weapon system programmes.
• Missile and rocket technologies: Experience in propellant casting, rocket propellant composition, flow-forming, pressure equalisation, stabilisation of rockets, warheads, and ET fuzes.
• Guidance and control: Proficiency in Fire Control System, aerodynamic design, guidance, navigation, control, and 6 DOF simulation.
• Armed Forces projects: Experience handling projects related to advanced materials and energy systems for Indian Armed Forces is important.

Desirable background: BEL prefers candidates who have handled the full life cycle of artillery weapon systems, including design, development, user acceptance and AHSP transfer. Patents in rocket sub-assemblies and technical publications are also listed as desirable in the notice.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 62 years as on 01 June 2026.
• Post-retirement experience may be considered for age relaxation at BEL's discretion.

Non-compete condition: External Advisors who are still bound by a confidentiality-cum-non-compete agreement with a previous employer cannot apply. On joining BEL, the selected Advisor will also have to sign a fresh confidentiality-cum-non-compete agreement with BEL.

Salary

• The Advisor will get consolidated monthly pay based on the last Basic Pay drawn at superannuation from the previous Government organisation.
• If the contract is extended, the pay may increase by 5% annually on the last drawn amount, excluding conveyance component.
• If BEL's car is not used, conveyance reimbursement may be paid at Rs. 8,000 per month.

Contract term: The first engagement is for 1 year. BEL may extend it based on requirement and satisfactory usefulness of the Advisor's services, so applicants should be comfortable with a fixed-term specialist assignment.

Selection Process

The BEL Advisor selection will be done in these stages:

1. Shortlisting: BEL will shortlist applicants based on the details declared in the application form and supporting documents.
2. Interview / Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview or personal interaction.
3. Final Offer: The provisional offer of engagement will be sent to the selected candidate by email.

Shortlisting basis: BEL will rely on the information entered in the application form, so your experience certificates, last pay certificate, superannuation proof and technical background should clearly support the claims you make. Merely meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call.
