Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

MACS - Agharkar Research Institute (ARI), an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has released ADVT/RecT/ABTL/02/SP-374/2026-27 for a temporary Project Assistant post. The post is under project ABTL-SP-374, titled Development of Non-starch Polysaccharide (NSP) Hydrolyzing Enzyme Cocktail as Poultry Feed Additives. This is a project-based role in Pune, and the project period is listed up to 12 January 2027.

The work is connected with bioenergy and enzyme research, so it is most relevant for candidates who have studied life sciences, agricultural sciences, biotechnology, microbiology, or engineering/technology. The selected person will support the project team with lab tasks, data recording, and experiment-related assistance under the Principal Investigator. This is not a permanent ARI post; it is a temporary contractual appointment under the project.

Desirable Qualification and Experience

• Higher Qualification: First Class M.Sc., B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech is desirable.
• Research Skills: Experience in carbohydrate profiling, enzyme kinetics, biochemical assays, enzyme-substrate reactions, process parameter optimization, lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment, and saccharification work will help.
• Project Fit: This role suits candidates who can work in a research lab and support bioenergy-related experimental work.
• Screening Note: ARI may give weight to desirable qualifications or specific project experience while shortlisting candidates for interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 50 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.

Salary

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 20,000 per month
• Allowances: HRA is payable as mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
