Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in your subject as per the university syllabus
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, lecture notes and question papers
- Guide students on academic projects, dissertations and research work
- Conduct original research and publish papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals
- Participate in university committees, board meetings and academic council activities
- Evaluate examinations, viva-voce and student assignments fairly and on time
- Mentor MPhil and PhD scholars and supervise their thesis work
- Organise seminars, conferences and workshops in your area of specialisation
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Master's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) plus NET/SLET/SET or PhD in the concerned subject as per UGC norms
Preferred Qualification
PhD with quality publications in peer-reviewed journals; for Professor/Associate Professor, substantial teaching and research experience
Required Skills
Subject mastery, classroom teaching, research methodology, academic writing, mentoring, public speaking

Exam Pattern
For Assistant Professor and Lecturer posts, APPSC will conduct a screening test. The detailed exam pattern (number of questions, marks, time and subjects) will be announced by APPSC in the screening test notification.
For Associate Professor and Professor posts, there is no written exam. Selection is based on academic merit, publications and interview as per UGC norms.
