BMC FNB Teacher Recruitment 2026: Overview

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is recruiting FNB Teachers in Paediatric Hemato-Oncology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. The notice brings together the senior and junior consultant grades under the same recruitment. Both appointments are contractual and belong to the hospital's paediatric specialty service.

Posts and Disciplines

• FNB Teacher Grade 1, Senior Consultant: The senior consultant grade in Paediatric Hemato-Oncology at LTMG Hospital and Medical College.
• FNB Teacher Grade 2, Junior Consultant: The junior consultant grade in the same specialty and institution. It has separate experience conditions from the senior grade.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: Appointment runs from your joining date until 31 March 2027, or until regular staff join, whichever happens first. The contract includes a one-day break after each 90-day period.
• No claim to regular service: This engagement does not create a right to a regular appointment. The notice rules out seeking regularisation through pressure or a court claim.
• Early termination: The administration can end the appointment without advance notice if the engagement is no longer needed. Unsatisfactory work or a disciplinary breach can also result in termination.
• Service benefits: Pension and provident fund schemes do not apply to this engagement. The notice also excludes coverage under Mumbai Municipal Corporation service rules of 1989 after appointment.
• Contract agreement: You must sign the prescribed agreement on the required bond paper at your own expense. This is a condition of taking up the appointment.
• Attendance: You must record biometric attendance during the contract. The hospital makes this compulsory for contractual staff.
• Resignation: If you want to leave the post for any reason, you must give 30 days' advance notice.
• Recruitment control: The Municipal Commissioner can stop the recruitment at any stage for administrative or other reasons. False information or concealment can lead to cancellation of your candidature or termination after appointment.
• Travel: You must attend the interview at your own expense. Factor this into your arrangements for reaching the hospital.

The prescribed form is available from Room 15, Cash Section, LTMG Hospital, during office hours between 11:00 am and 3:30 pm. Deliver your completed application to the hospital's Inward and Outward Section, Sion, Mumbai 400022; the final receipt cut-off is 4:00 pm.

The interview venue is the Dean's meeting hall, ground floor of the college building, LTMG Hospital and Medical College, Sion. Earlier applications lodged at this office or elsewhere will not be considered for this drive, and BMC has not authorised outside people or organisations to sell or receive forms.
