Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS) is recruiting Senior Residents for its teaching hospital and medical departments at Saifai, Etawah. Post-wise Duties

Clinical and Emergency Departments

You will examine patients, discuss treatment plans with faculty, cover ward and emergency rosters, and keep clear clinical records. Your day-to-day work will follow the patient load and duty schedule of the allotted department.

Surgical and Procedure-based Departments

You will support pre-operative assessment, procedures, post-operative care and on-call services within your approved training level. Patient safety and consultant supervision remain central to every clinical decision.

Diagnostic and Laboratory Departments

You will process or interpret department-specific investigations, maintain accurate laboratory or imaging records, and communicate important findings to the treating team.

Pre-clinical and Academic Departments

You will help with practical teaching, demonstrations, departmental records and academic activity while following UPUMS teaching standards.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial appointment is for six months and may be extended up to three years, or end earlier if you receive an appointment under the compulsory government bond scheme.
• Non-bonded status: This recruitment itself is for non-bonded Senior Resident positions.
• Reservation: Uttar Pradesh rules apply, and applicants claiming a reserved post must meet the state's domicile condition.
• PwBD provision: A horizontal reservation applies to the disability categories identified in the notice, subject to valid certification and suitability for the work.
• Changing requirement: The university may increase or decrease departmental posts and may prepare a panel even where a department has no immediate opening.

Write your name on the reverse of the demand draft payable to the Finance Officer, UPUMS, Saifai.

For the revised weekly schedule, report with your originals and one self-attested photocopy set to the Chief Medical Superintendent Office, First Floor, Trauma Centre. Keep two recent photographs and your medical-registration proof ready for checking.

• Revised schedule notice published in June 2026: UPUMS changed the earlier monthly interview cycle to interviews every Wednesday and extended the rolling process through the end of the year; the remaining terms of the original advertisement continue unchanged.
