UKPSC PCS Recruitment 2026: Overview

Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is recruiting for state departments through the Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination. Deputy Collector

In this role: Handle district administration and public-service matters. Coordinate with local offices on government work.

Deputy Superintendent of Police

In this role: Supervise police work in your assigned area. Coordinate law-and-order duties and review reports.

District Commandant Home Guards

In this role: Coordinate Home Guards personnel and their deployment. Keep the district unit ready for assigned duties.

Finance Officer/Treasury Officer

In this role: Review government payments and accounts. Help your office follow financial controls.

Assistant Director/Audit Officer

In this role: Examine accounts and supporting records. Report issues that need correction.

Assistant Commissioner State Tax

Assistant Regional Transport Officer

Nursery Development Officer Grade II

In this role: Support nursery-development work. Coordinate activities within the agriculture department.

In this role: Review state-tax records and cases. Follow up on compliance work.

Case Worker

In this role: Handle social-welfare cases and records. Coordinate case-related support within the department.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of appointment: Most listed posts are permanent. The Sanskrit Education and Assistant Regional Transport Officer posts are described as temporary; all listed posts carry a contributory pension arrangement.
• Gazetted status: The municipal commissioner/executive officer post is non-gazetted. The other listed posts are gazetted.
• Reservation: State reservation benefits apply to Uttarakhand domicile holders. Applicants from outside the state can compete under the unreserved category.
• Post preferences: UKPSC will open a separate preference facility. Once you submit your choices, requests to change them will not be accepted.
• Allocation: You can receive an appointment recommendation against only one post through this process. An allocation does not leave you in consideration for the other posts.
• Provisional candidature: Admission remains provisional throughout the process. If your claims do not match the applicable rules, UKPSC can cancel candidature or withdraw its recommendation.
• Disability suitability: The notice identifies suitable disability categories separately for each role. Check the relevant entry before choosing a service.
• Waiting list: The notice rules out the additional waiting list normally referred to in the cited recruitment provision for this combined examination.
