SVNIRTAR, an autonomous institute under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has released a notice to fill 11 posts on contract basis at its Composite Regional Centres (CRCSRE) in Guwahati (Assam), Shillong (Meghalaya) and Imphal (Manipur). The posts range from Associate Professor and Assistant Professor to Rehabilitation Officer, Prosthetist & Orthotist, Accountant and Workshop Supervisor — covering teaching, therapy, and support roles. Candidates with the right qualification in speech-language pathology, clinical psychology, special education, or occupational therapy can apply for their preferred post.

Who Can Apply?

Associate Professor (Speech Language Pathology & Audiology) — Rs. 80,000/month:

• Qualification: M.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / MASLP or equivalent
• Experience: 8 years of teaching experience at graduate/PG level, minimum 5 publications with cumulative impact factor of 5
• Registration: Valid RCI Registration required

Associate Professor (Clinical Psychology) — Rs. 80,000/month:

• Qualification: M.Phil in Clinical or Rehabilitation Psychology (full-time, RCI recognised)
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in teaching/research
• Registration: Valid RCI Registration required

Assistant Professor (Special Education) — Rs. 75,000/month:

• Qualification: Master's Degree with M.Ed. (Special Education), full-time, RCI recognised
• Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching/research experience
• Registration: RCI Registration required

Lecturer (Occupational Therapy) — Rs. 60,000/month:

• Qualification: Master's in Occupational Therapy (full-time) from a recognised institute
• Experience: Minimum 3 years teaching/research experience in rehabilitation

Rehabilitation Officer — Rs. 50,000/month:

• Qualification: PG Degree in Social Work / Sociology / MDRA / Psychology or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience

Prosthetist & Orthotist — Rs. 50,000/month:

• Qualification: Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from a recognised institute, RCI registered
• Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience

Special Educator / Orientation & Mobility Instructor — Rs. 50,000/month:

• Qualification: Graduation with Diploma in Orientation & Mobility Instruction, or Graduation with Diploma/B.Ed./PG Diploma in Special Education, RCI registered
• Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience

Assistant — Rs. 45,000/month:

• Qualification: Graduate with computer knowledge
• Experience: Minimum 2 years administrative experience in government/reputed organisation

Accountant — Rs. 45,000/month:

• Qualification: Commerce graduate with hands-on knowledge of computer and Tally
• Experience: Minimum 3 years handling accounts/cash in government or PSU establishment

Speech Pathologist / Audiologist Gr-II — Rs. 40,000/month:

• Qualification: BASLP / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) with valid RCI Registration

Workshop Supervisor-cum-Store Keeper — Rs. 35,000/month:

• Qualification: 10+2 with Diploma/Certificate in Prosthetics & Orthotics
• Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in the concerned area

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for all 11 posts is 56 years, calculated as on the last date of online application (24 August 2026).
• Age Relaxation: No age relaxation is given to any reserved category except PwD and Ex-servicemen candidates.
• Retired employees can be engaged on contract up to a maximum age of 65 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a monthly consolidated remuneration ranging from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 80,000 depending on the post — see the vacancy breakdown table above for post-wise pay.
• This is a contractual consultancy engagement, so allowances like DA/HRA are not applicable unless specified separately.

• General / OBC: Rs. 500 (non-refundable)
• SC / ST: Rs. 250 (non-refundable)
• PwD: No fee
• Payment mode: Online payment gateway on the application portal. Bank transaction/processing fees, if any, are payable by the candidate.
• If you want to apply for multiple posts, you must apply separately for each with a separate fee.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Written Examination: Conducted only if more than 20 applications are received for a post — used to screen candidates before interview.
2. Skill Test: Conducted for technical posts where the skill forms an essential part of the job, before the personal interview.
3. Personal Interview: Final selection is through interview by a Committee constituted by the Institute. Shortlisting ratio for interview is not less than 1:5 per vacancy.

Government, PSU, or Autonomous Body employees must submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer.

• Manage workshop tools, equipment and store inventory

• Maintain academic, clinical and administrative records and submit periodic reports to the Institute
