Bodoland University (BU) is recruiting a project team for the National Health Research Priority (NHRP) study on equitable, quality universal health coverage through Health and Wellness Centres. The project, referred to as EQUIP-HWCs Udalguri District, focuses on improving comprehensive primary health care through implementation research. Although the university is in Kokrajhar, the project work is in Udalguri district, Assam, where selected staff must live.

Posts and Disciplines

• Consultant, Scientific Technical: A senior scientific or clinical role within the health research project.
• Project Research Scientist-I, Non-Medical: A research role linked to health studies, diagnostics, bioinformatics or handling biological and health data.
• Project Research Scientist-III, Non-Medical: An advanced non-medical research role connected with the project’s health research work.
• Project Research Scientist-III, Medical: A medical-stream role connected with community-based health research.
• Project Technical Support-III: Technical support across the project’s field or laboratory work.
• Project Technical Support-I/Multi Tasking Staff: Support for community or laboratory research activity through the combined role named in the notice.

Post-wise Duties

Consultant, Scientific Technical

You would contribute senior research or clinical input to the project. The notice also expects this role to help bring the research findings into publications.

Project Research Scientist-I, Non-Medical

You would support health research and research-data work relevant to your background. Contributing to publications is part of the project’s stated expectation for this position.

Project Research Scientist-III, Non-Medical

You would contribute to non-medical health research and help turn project findings into research outputs. This role belongs to the scientific team supporting implementation of the study.

Project Research Scientist-III, Medical

You would bring a medical perspective to community-based health research. The project also expects you to contribute to publishing its findings.

Project Technical Support-III

You would help with field or laboratory research work for the project. The publication expectation in the notice also extends to this technical-support role.

Project Technical Support-I/Multi Tasking Staff

You would support community or laboratory research tasks within the project team. This is the role excluded from the notice’s general expectation to present findings through research publications.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project location: You must stay within Udalguri district if selected. Do not plan on a campus-only appointment in Kokrajhar.
• Project engagement: The positions are attached to the NHRP project. The notice does not give a fixed appointment duration or extension schedule.
• Possible additional appointments: The project may increase the number of posts and use the empanelled list to fill them.
• Appointment discretion: The Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators may fill or leave any advertised post unfilled.
• Travel costs: No travel or daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
