SAIL RSP IGH Trainee Recruitment 2026: Overview

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), is opening stipend-based training seats at its Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela, under a one-year skill-enhancement programme for underprivileged candidates. The drive is open to residents of Sundargarh district and other districts of Odisha, with preference given to candidates from RSP's direct impact zones — Bisra, Kuarmunda, Nuagaon and Lathikata blocks, Rourkela Municipality, the RSP Industrial Township, its resettlement colonies and model steel villages. This is a training-cum-stipend programme, not a guarantee of future employment with SAIL or RSP — candidates who complete it gain hands-on hospital-support skills and a certificate of training.

Posts and Disciplines

• Medical Attendant Training: the largest track in this drive, open to candidates who have passed matriculation or an equivalent exam.
• Hospital Administration Training: for candidates holding an MBA, BBA or a PG Diploma in Hospital Management, Hospital Administration, HR, Marketing or Finance.
• OT/Anesthesia Assistant Training: for candidates who cleared their intermediate examination and have already completed a one-year Hospital Attendant or Anesthesia Attendant training from a recognized institute.

Post-wise Duties

Medical Attendant Trainees

You will assist ward staff with basic patient care and hospital support tasks while learning on the job at IGH.

Hospital Administration Trainees

You will support hospital administrative functions — records, coordination and process work — under the guidance of IGH's management team.

OT/Anesthesia Assistant Trainees

You will build on your existing attendant training by assisting in operation theatre and anesthesia support duties under supervision.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Not a job guarantee: This training programme is only for skill enhancement — it does not entitle you to future employment in SAIL or RSP.
• Eligibility zone: Priority goes to candidates from RSP's direct impact zones in Sundargarh district; other Odisha district residents can also apply.
• Repeat candidates: If you have already completed a similar training programme at IGH, you are not eligible for a second tenure.
• Medical fitness: Selection is subject to your medical fitness as per SAIL/RSP rules.
• Accommodation: SAIL/RSP does not provide accommodation during training — you must arrange your own stay.
• Serving employees: If you are currently employed with a government body, PSU or autonomous organisation, carry a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• SAIL/RSP reserves the right to reject any application or cancel the process at any stage without giving a reason.

After you submit the online form, print the filled application, the declaration form and the document verification form, sign them, paste a recent passport-size photo, and carry the originals plus self-attested copies of your certificates when you attend the interview. Incomplete applications or those not meeting the eligibility criteria are summarily rejected.
