National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is one of the newer NITs set up by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is located near National Highway 16 at Kadakatla, Tadepalligudem, in West Godavari district. The institute has invited applications for 2 Ad-hoc Faculty positions for the academic year 2026-27 — one in the School of Humanities & Management and one in Electronics & Communication Engineering. Who Can Apply?

School of Humanities & Management (Management):

• Qualification: First Class B.Tech (any Engineering branch) with First Class MBA (Full-time), OR First Class Bachelor's degree (any discipline) with First Class M.Com (Full-time) and First Class MBA (Full-time).
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline. M.Com is not mandatory if you already hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Electronics & Communication Engineering:

• Qualification: First Class in both B.Tech/B.E. and M.Tech/M.E. (or equivalent) in the relevant or an allied branch of Engineering.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

Both departments will judge you on your academic record and how well you perform in the lecture demonstration, so keep your certificates and mark sheets ready to show the exact class/division and percentage you scored in each qualifying degree. If your basic degree is from a discipline outside the core branch, be ready to explain in the interview how it is equivalent or allied to the department's requirement.

Salary

• You get a consolidated salary of Rs. 70,000 per month if you hold a Ph.D. qualification.
• You get a consolidated salary of Rs. 55,000 per month if you hold an M.Tech or equivalent qualification (without Ph.D.).
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done directly through a walk-in process, decided by a duly constituted Selection Committee:

1. Lecture Demonstration: You give an offline lecture demonstration in front of the Selection Committee.
2. Personal Interview: An offline interview follows the demonstration. The Selection Committee's decision is final.

Note: This is a purely temporary, ad-hoc engagement. Either party can end the contract early by giving at least 30 days' notice before completion of the term.
