Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: the appointment is for six months. It ends when the stated appointment period or project ends, whichever happens first, without a separate individual termination message being necessary.
• Regular employment: the engagement gives you no claim to a permanent university post, absorption or another contract after the project. Consider it a time-bound project appointment when planning your next move.
• Supervision: you will work under the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator. University administrative, financial and disciplinary rules apply, and the project team records attendance.
• Full-time commitment: you cannot take another paid or unpaid appointment alongside this work. An absence lasting one month without permission can end the engagement from the start of that absence.
• Leaving the project: you must give one month's written notice or pay an amount equal to one month's salary. Before leaving, you must hand over the work to the nominated person and get the Principal Investigator's no-objection certificate.
• Early termination: the notice permits termination with 24 hours' notice for negligence, serious misconduct or disciplinary breaches.
• Work locations: project needs may take you elsewhere within MPKV's jurisdiction. Young Professional-I staff may also be sent to training, workshops, conferences or similar events in India.
• Research ownership: the project owns the work and research outputs. The Principal Investigator decides whether a contributor receives acknowledgement or authorship in research papers.
• Acceptance of terms: selected staff must sign the prescribed bond on Rs. 100 bond paper. Claims must be settled within one month and before the scheme's accounts are finally closed.
• Conduct: canvassing can disqualify you. False information can also lead to cancellation of your candidature or termination after appointment.
