Kerala PSC is hiring 1 Blacksmith Grade II post in Kerala State Water Transport. Kerala PSC Blacksmith Grade II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Category No. 33/2026 for direct recruitment to the post of Blacksmith Grade II in Kerala Government Service. The current notice reports 1 fresh vacancy, and the ranked list can also be used for further vacancies reported while the list is valid. The list will normally remain active for at least 1 year and up to 3 years, unless a new list is published earlier.

The notification also says that 1 vacancy set apart under the PWD Act, 2016 because of shortage of DA-LV candidates will be filled from this ranked list. Kerala PSC has also noted that 4% of reported vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates as per the cited Government order. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• SSLC: You must have passed SSLC or an equivalent qualification.
• Trade qualification: You must have ITI in the trade of Blacksmith or an equivalent qualification.
• Equivalent or higher qualification: If you claim an equivalent or higher qualification, keep the relevant Government order ready for Kerala PSC verification.
• Profile requirement: You need a Kerala PSC One Time Registration profile to submit the application.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old.
• Only candidates born between 2 January 1986 and 1 January 2008, including both dates, can apply.
• Age reference: The date range is based on the Kerala PSC notification for Category No. 33/2026.
• Age relaxation: Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities get usual relaxation as per Kerala PSC General Conditions, except the condition specifically excluded in the notice.

Salary

• The pay scale for Blacksmith Grade II is Rs. 25,100 to Rs. 57,900 per month.
• This is a Kerala Government service pay scale, so selected candidates will get applicable DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government rules.
• The notification gives the pay scale only and does not list separate allowance amounts.

Selection Process
