Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Scientist/Engineer 'SC' Recruitment 2026 - 92 Posts

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space, has released Advertisement No. ISRO:ICRB:02(EMC-CEPO):2026 for 92 Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts in its constituent Centres/Units and Autonomous Bodies. These are Group A Gazetted posts (Group A Non-Gazetted in Autonomous Bodies) spread across 7 engineering and architecture disciplines, with tentative postings at HSFC and URSC Bengaluru, NRSC Hyderabad, SAC Ahmedabad, SDSC SHAR Sriharikota, VSSC Thiruvananthapuram, IPRC Mahendragiri, LPSC Valiamala, MCF Hassan, and PRL Ahmedabad. Your GATE score decides your interview call — ICRB screens candidates for interview purely on the basis of a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score, so there is no separate written exam. Who Can Apply?

You need a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with at least 65% marks (average of all semesters) or a CGPA of 6.84 on a 10-point scale in the discipline you are applying for. Along with your degree, you must hold a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the matching paper — enter your actual GATE score carefully, since ICRB verifies it and can take action, including criminal proceedings, against candidates who enter a false score.

Age Limit

• You should be 28 years or younger as on 17 August 2026 — UR/EWS candidates must be born on or after 18 August 1998.
• OBC candidates: born on or after 18 August 1995.
• SC/ST candidates: born on or after 18 August 1993.
• Age Relaxation: Serving government employees and PwBD/SC/ST/OBC candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India rules, wherever posts are reserved for these categories.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary under Level 10 of the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, starting from Rs. 56,100 per month and going up to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. GATE Score Screening: ICRB screens-in candidates for interview purely on the basis of their valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the paper matching their discipline — not on marks or GATE rank.
2. Interview: Screened-in candidates appear for a personal interview conducted by the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB).
