Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya) has released Advertisement No. IIMBG/Project: Securing the Future/Project Staff/2026-27 to hire one AI/ML - IoT Developer for its DST-funded project titled "Securing the Future: A Blockchain and AI-powered solution for Child Safety and Identification." The role is purely contractual, for a period of at least 2 years or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. Candidates can be brought on board at three different levels — Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, or Senior Project Associate — depending on your qualification and years of R&D experience. Project interns are also welcome to apply for a remote-friendly monthly stipend. If you enjoy building machine learning models and IoT hardware, this project lets you work on real-world child safety technology.

Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya was set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Education, in 2015 at Bodh Gaya — often called the Land of Enlightenment. The institute is looking for dedicated, committed non-faculty members who believe in institution building and bring a passion for excellence, and this project role is part of that effort. As part of this role, you will work at the intersection of machine learning, blockchain, and IoT hardware to build solutions that help identify and protect vulnerable children, collaborating closely with product managers, hardware engineers, data scientists, and UX/UI designers.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Associate-I (Rs. 37,000/month):

• Four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field) from a recognized university

For Project Associate-II (Rs. 42,000/month):

• Four-year Bachelor's degree as above with 2 years of R&D experience in industrial or academic institutions or S&T organizations, OR
• Master's degree in Engineering/Technology with 4 years of R&D experience

For Senior Project Associate (Rs. 57,000/month):

• Master's degree in Engineering/Technology with 4 years of R&D experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of R&D experience

Skills You Will Need:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development
• Working knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Programming skills in Python, R, or Java, plus C/C++ for firmware work
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with IoT hardware such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or ESP32
• Knowledge of connectivity protocols like MQTT, CoAP, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or LoRa

Good to Have:

• Experience with edge computing and real-time data processing
• Familiarity with containerisation and microservices tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Salary

• Project Associate-I: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA
• Project Associate-II: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 57,000 per month + HRA
• Project Interns can also apply and will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,000 in a remote-friendly role.
• Note: the amount mentioned against each position is the maximum applicable pay; the selection committee may fix your actual pay based on qualification, experience, and performance.

Selection Process (No Fixed Written Exam)

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Screening & Shortlisting: Based on scrutiny of your age, qualification, and experience documents.
2. Written and/or Skill Test: May be conducted if the institute receives a large number of applications.
3. Interview: Final interaction with the selection panel.

You must bring original documents for verification along with one set of photocopies and two photographs if you are shortlisted for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending tests or interviews. In case of an overwhelming response, the screening committee may use academic performance and work-experience parameters to raise the bar and shortlist a manageable pool of candidates.

A few terms apply to this recruitment: all your qualifications must be from a UGC-recognized university, deemed university, or an AICTE-approved autonomous institution. The details in your application form must match your Class 10th certificate, PAN card, and Aadhaar card. If you are already working in government service, you should apply through the proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
