IIEST Shibpur Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Department of Computer Science and Technology at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur has opened applications for 1 Junior Research Fellow post under a project sponsored by DST-ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation, formerly the SERB Core Research Grant Scheme), Government of India. The project, titled "Design and Development of Intelligent Cyber Physical System for Prediction, Early Detection and Remote Monitoring of Alzheimer's Disease in Real-Time using Bio-Multifunctional Smart Wearable Sensors", is led by Dr. Soumen Moulik and is sanctioned till 8 February 2027 (unless extended). This is a good opportunity for CSE/IT/Electronics postgraduates who want hands-on research experience in wearable sensor technology and healthcare AI, working directly under the Project Investigator on a nationally funded research grant.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Tech./M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA throughout (from Class X to the qualifying degree). SC/ST/PwD candidates need at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
• Alternate Route: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering with at least 80% marks or 8.5 CGPA and a valid GATE score can also apply.
• Desirable: An M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology is preferred over the alternate route.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 28 years at the time of application.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.

Salary

• You will get a fellowship of Rs. 31,000 per month plus Rs. 2,480 (8% HRA), totaling Rs. 33,480 per month, as sanctioned under the DST-ANRF project.
• No other allowances are mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this post. Selection is based on:
