IIBM Director Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Bank Management (IIBM), Guwahati is looking for a Director to lead its work in banking and finance education. Established as an autonomous society, the institute develops the capabilities of banks and financial institutions, with particular attention to the North-eastern region. The appointment places you at the head of an institute whose mission includes strengthening management capability at both individual and organisational levels.
As Chief Executive Officer, you will work under the guidance of the Governing Board, chaired by a Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. The notice places particular emphasis on institution building and stronger links with local institutions, government and development agencies. Its focus is on expanding IIBM's standing while keeping its work connected to the needs of the region.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Place of work: You must be based in Guwahati. The notice makes this a condition of the Director's appointment.
- Initial term: The appointment starts with a three-year term. It may extend up to five years, depending on satisfactory annual reviews.
- Serving RBI officials: If a serving Reserve Bank of India official is selected, the appointment will be treated as a posting at IIBM.
