Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) is hiring a full-time contractual Director (Training) for its Leadership Development Centre and corporate office in Mumbai. The role is designed for a serving or retired senior banking or finance professional who has led at general-manager level and can guide the Institute's academic and professional-development work. You will take overall charge of the Training Department, linking member needs, course strategy, faculty performance and programme delivery.

The Director is expected to identify what IIBF members need to learn and turn those needs into practical banking and finance programmes. This includes shaping course content, planning development activities and improving training procedures. The position has a strong quality focus: you will review trainer performance, study whether programmes are effective and recommend changes that make future sessions more useful.

Educational material is another major part of the portfolio. You will guide the preparation of training manuals, multimedia aids and other learning resources suited to working professionals. Your experience should help IIBF keep its established courses relevant while building processes for impact analysis and continuous improvement.

The notice seeks someone whose career combines senior leadership with academic contribution. Experience as a principal or core faculty member is valuable because the Director must understand both institutional strategy and the classroom. Comfort with virtual working is also important for managing modern training formats and distributed professional audiences.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The initial full-time contract runs for three years. IIBF may grant one-year extensions for up to three further years, subject to its needs, satisfactory performance and the stated upper service-age condition.
• Early termination: Either IIBF or the appointee may end the contract with three months' notice.
• Leave: The appointee receives 15 days of leave per year. It cannot be encashed, and IIBF's existing rules for full-time contract officers apply.
• Work location: The post is based at the IIBF Leadership Development Centre, Corporate Office, Mumbai.
• Interview travel: Shortlisted outstation applicants attending the Mumbai interview may claim economy-class return airfare, but local travel is not reimbursed.
• Shortlisting discretion: IIBF decides whom to call and may cancel the process at any stage; its shortlisting decision is final.
