Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), India's premier flying training institute under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has released Advertisement No. IGRUA/ADVT/11/2026 for the post of Junior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical). The advertisement remains valid for one full year from its publication date (23 April 2026) — applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all vacancies are filled or the one-year period ends, whichever comes first. The post is based at the IGRUA campus in Fursatganj Airfield, Amethi (Uttar Pradesh), and/or Birsi Airport, Gondia (Maharashtra).

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in the Mechanical Stream from any DGCA-approved AME Institute, OR Diploma/Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized Institute/College.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years working experience in a General Aviation Organization or Flying Club, including training at an AME Institute/Engineering College.
• Preferred: Candidates with hands-on working experience on aircraft operated by IGRUA will be given preference.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 55 years as on 1 January 2026.

Salary

• You will get a fixed remuneration of Rs. 32,000 per month.
• Additional benefits include Medical Allowance of Rs. 25,000 per annum, Aviation Allowance, Schedule Allowance, Overtime, Shift Allowance and Transport Allowance, plus TA/DA for outstation duties.
• Accommodation within the campus may be provided, subject to availability.

Selection Process

IGRUA selects candidates through the following stages:

2. Written Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or interview; online interviews may be conducted, with links shared over email a day in advance.

• Assist engineers and supervisors with all maintenance work (excluding Radio) on aircraft operated by IGRUA
• Complete assigned work within timelines as per Work Orders from the CAMO Cell
• Carry out tarmac duties in the capacity of a Marshaller as required
• Follow instructions from senior engineers and the Chief Engineer
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of maintenance work performed
• Carry out any other technical work allotted by the Chief Engineer
