Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is hiring for its own team in Mumbai through a fixed-term, full-time contract drive. The notice brings together banking assessment work, technical question development and support for the Director. Your work will depend on the role you choose, with faculty posts focused on assessment content and the secretary post focused on senior management support.

Posts and Disciplines

• Banker Faculty-Technical: This role supports questions across engineering, technology, banking and related specialist subjects. The notice includes areas such as cyber security, artificial intelligence and machine learning alongside established technical and financial disciplines.
• Banker Faculty: This role focuses on banking knowledge, financial awareness and general awareness for assessment work at the institute.
• Executive Secretary to Director: This role supports the Director and connects the office with the Governing Board, senior management, staff and external authorities.

Post-wise Duties

Banker Faculty-Technical

You will write, source and review specialist questions in the relevant subjects. The work includes multiple-choice and short-answer material, along with analysis and coordination connected to question development.

Banker Faculty

You will develop and review questions that assess banking knowledge and financial or general awareness. Research, analysis and coordination in these areas also form part of the role.

Executive Secretary to Director

You will help the Director manage appointments, correspondence, travel and meeting commitments. You will coordinate Board and committee meetings, assemble meeting material, record follow-up actions and keep confidential files and contact information.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The initial engagement lasts three years and is reviewed each year. A fresh contract may follow at the institute’s discretion, depending on performance, fitness, its needs and the rules then in force.
• Employment status: This engagement does not create a right to regular appointment or absorption. The notice says provident fund and gratuity provisions do not apply to these contracts.
• Work commitment: You must follow normal office hours and may need to work beyond them, including weekends and holidays. You cannot take another professional appointment, paid or unpaid, during the contract.
• Housing: Posting is in Mumbai only. You must arrange your own accommodation there.
• Contract end: The engagement ends automatically when its term finishes; the institute does not need to issue a separate termination communication.
• Wait list: IBPS may maintain a list for six months to meet later staffing needs. Being considered for the drive does not guarantee appointment.
• Attendance arrangements: The process may continue into the next day. If that happens, you must arrange and pay for your own stay and meals.
