GSSSB, on behalf of the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department's Directorate of Employment and Training, has released 7 linked advertisements to fill 436 Class-3 Supervisor Instructor posts at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Gujarat. The posts cover trade groups ranging from Civil Construction and Electrical to Medical & Nursing and Apparel & Fashion. All 7 advertisements share the same application window (20 July to 3 August 2026), so you can apply for more than one group if you meet the eligibility for each. Selection is through a single competitive written exam — there is no interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need either (i) a Diploma in the relevant branch of engineering/technology (or an advanced vocational diploma) from a recognized board, university, or AICTE-accredited institute, or (ii) a Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering/technology from a recognized university. The exact trade/discipline required for each group is listed in the official notification's Appendix-A.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India, or meet the nationality conditions under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 36 years old as on 3 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: General category women get 5 years (up to 41); reserved category men get 5 years (up to 41); reserved category women get 10 years (up to 45); general category PwBD men get 10 years (up to 45); general category PwBD women get 15 years (up to 45); reserved category PwBD men get 15 years (up to 45); reserved category PwBD women get 20 years (up to 45).
• Ex-servicemen: Get relaxation equal to their length of service plus 3 years.
• Candidates already in Gujarat Government service may get upper age relaxation as per the 1967 recruitment rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 40,800 per month for the first 5 years of service.
• After 5 years, if your service is found satisfactory, you will be placed in the regular pay scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month (Level-5) under the 7th Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Gujarat government rules once regularized.

• Unreserved (General) candidates: Rs. 500
• Reserved category candidates (women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen): Rs. 400
• Good news — your fee will be refunded if you appear for the written exam.
• Payment mode: Online only, through debit card, net banking, UPI, or wallets. A separate transaction fee also applies.
• Last date for fee payment: 6 August 2026 (23:59 hrs)

Selection Process

Selection happens in these stages:

1. Written Exam (CBRT/OMR, single stage): One objective MCQ paper split into Part-A (90 marks: reasoning & data interpretation, quantitative aptitude, and Constitution/current affairs/Gujarati & English comprehension — 30 marks each) and Part-B (120 marks: questions on your specific trade/subject). That's 210 questions for 210 marks in 3 hours (180 minutes).
2. Negative Marking: 1/4th mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
3. Document Verification: Around double the number of category-wise vacancies will be called for certificate verification based on merit.
4. Final Selection List: Prepared after document verification, along with a waiting list where applicable.

You need to score at least 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B to qualify. Widowed women candidates and state/national-level sportspersons get a bonus of 5% marks on the merit list, subject to conditions in the notification.
