There is no written exam — selection is based on qualification, experience and a walk-in interview. Who Can Apply?

For Super Specialist (Entry Level / Senior Consultant):

• You need a recognized medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, plus an MCh/DM/DNB or equivalent in the concerned super specialty.
• For the Senior Consultant level, you also need at least 5 years of post super-specialty qualification experience.

For Specialist (Junior / Senior):

• You need a Postgraduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty after MBBS/BDS, registered with TCMC or the Dental Council.
• Experience: 3 years for degree holders or 5 years for diploma holders (Junior); 5 years for degree holders or 7 years for diploma holders (Senior).

For Senior Resident (Pay Level 11):

• You need a Postgraduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty after MBBS, registered with TCMC. For super-speciality departments, a DM/DrNB is preferred over an MD/DNB in General Medicine.
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any Central Institution are not eligible for this post.

Age Limit

• Super Specialist and Specialist: up to 69 years as on the date of interview.
• Senior Resident: up to 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates get relaxation as per rules.

Salary

• Full Time Super Specialist (Entry Level): Rs. 2,00,000 per month.
• Full Time Super Specialist (Senior Level): Rs. 2,40,000 per month.
• Part Time Super Specialist: Rs. 1,00,000 (Entry) to Rs. 1,50,000 (Senior) per month, plus Rs. 20,000 visiting charges in emergencies.
• Full Time Specialist (Junior, Level 11): approximately Rs. 1,38,108 per month.
• Full Time Specialist (Senior, Level 12): approximately Rs. 1,60,752 per month.
• Part Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000 per month, plus Rs. 15,000 visiting charges in emergencies.
• Senior Resident (Level 11): approximately Rs. 1,38,108 per month for PG degree holders (as per 7th CPC).

Application Fee

• General / EWS / OBC: Rs. 250
• SC / ST: Rs. 50
• PWD / Female candidates: No fee
• Payable by Demand Draft in favour of "Employees' State Insurance Fund - Account No. 1" payable at Kollam.

Selection is based on:

1. Document Verification: Bring original documents, caste certificate (if applicable), Xerox copies and the application fee Demand Draft.
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted at ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam, based on your qualification, experience and interview performance.

Note: If you have completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any Central Institution, you are not eligible for the Senior Resident post. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
