Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Engineer (Electrical):

• Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• Eligibility: You must have retired from Central/State PWD or a CPSU/PSU while holding the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or a superior post.

For Junior Engineer (Civil):

• Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• Eligibility: You must have retired from Central/State PWD or a CPSU/PSU while holding the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) or a superior post.

For Junior Engineer (Electrical):

• Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• Eligibility: You must have retired from Central/State PWD or a CPSU/PSU while holding the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) or a superior post.

Preference goes to retired government engineers who have handled building construction and maintenance work. Your application should clearly mention the office/department and the last post you held before retiring, along with a copy of your Pension Payment Order (PPO). You will need to bring all original certificates along with two sets of self-attested photocopies on the day of your interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 64 years as on 27 August 2026, the last date for submitting your application.
• Your contract will not be extended beyond 65 years of age.

Salary

• If you retired from a pensionable government post, you get a consolidated monthly remuneration as per government norms — your pension amount is deducted from your last drawn salary.
• If you retired from a non-pensionable government or semi-government post (like a PSU or autonomous body), you get Rs. 45,000 per month as Assistant Engineer or Rs. 33,630 per month as Junior Engineer.
• You also get TA/DA for official tour work, at rates applicable to regular Assistant/Junior Engineers.
• You'll get a maximum of one day of paid leave for every month of completed service, in addition to government holidays. No other paid leave is admissible.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through interview only:

1. Application Screening: ESIC checks your eligibility, qualification, and retirement documents.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates get a call letter by e-mail. The interview is held at ESI Corporation, Regional Office, Bengaluru. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
