DMHO East Godavari ASHA Recruitment 2026: Overview
Medical and Health Department, East Godavari District is recruiting Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) under the National Health Mission (NHM). The recruitment links community health work to the villages and wards listed against Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs). Local community participation is central to this drive, with applications moving through the concerned health centre and local committee.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Community connection: You apply for the area where you live. Rural applications relate to your village, while urban applications relate to the identified slum or vulnerable cluster.

- Latest caste certificate from the concerned Mandal Revenue Officer for SC, ST or BC claims; otherwise treated as OC
- Residence certificate, Aadhaar card or ration card, as applicable
- Latest Medical Board SADAREM disability certificate if claiming the disability quota

Your application must reach the concerned health centre by 25 September 2026.
You must be a woman resident of the relevant village or identified urban slum or vulnerable cluster, normally with Class 10 education. Rural educational criteria can be relaxed when no suitable qualified woman is available locally.
Use the application form in the notification and hand it over with the required supporting papers to your concerned PHC. Include the local VHNC resolution and approval.
The notice prefers women aged 25 to 45 years. This is a preference; rural age criteria may be relaxed if no suitable woman meeting the criteria is available in the area.
The notice provides for a provisional merit list, objections and a final merit list. You can check the provisional list scheduled for 12 October 2026 before final selection scheduled for 19 October 2026.
