Who Can Apply?

• Political Science: Master's in Political Science, Public Administration, Human Rights, or International Relations/Politics/Studies
• History: Master's in History or a closely related subject

• Library and Information Science: Master's in Library and Information Science or a closely related subject

You are exempt from NET/SLET/SET if you already hold a Ph.D. awarded under the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 or 2016, subject to conditions like regular-mode enrolment, external thesis evaluation, an open viva-voce, and at least two published research papers, of which one must be in a referred journal. You are also exempt if your Ph.D. is from a university ranked in the world's top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings, at any point in time.

• Reservation Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PwBD candidates get a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks at both Bachelor's and Master's level.
• PwBD Categories Covered: The relaxation applies to candidates with blindness/low vision, deaf and hard of hearing, locomotor disability, and autism/intellectual/learning disabilities, among other benchmark disabilities.

Salary
