AIIMS Rishikesh has released a notification for 1 Project Technical Support-I (Project Technician) post in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism. This is a contractual position under the ICMR-funded i-CARE-T1D research project. Candidates with 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI) or BSc MLT can apply by email and hard copy. Last date to apply is 04 April 2026. Monthly salary is Rs. 19,800 (inclusive of HRA).

AIIMS Rishikesh Project Technician Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, one of India's premier medical teaching and research institutions, has invited applications for the post of Project Technical Support-I (Project Technician). This position is under the extramural research project titled "Investigative Centre of Advanced Research in Endotypes of T1D (i-CARE-T1D): A national referral centre for research in T1D", funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The initial contract is for 6 months, extendable based on performance and project needs. If you have a background in medical laboratory technology and are interested in cutting-edge diabetes research, this is a great opportunity to work at a top AIIMS institute.

Who Can Apply?

Option A:

  • Qualification: 10th Pass + Diploma in MLT, DMLT, or ITI (or equivalent)
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in blood collection, centrifugation, storage, and shipping

Option B:

  • Qualification: Three-year graduate degree in a relevant subject (BSc MLT)
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field

Note: Persons already in regular government service are not eligible to apply. Experience must have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 35 years (as on the last date of application, i.e., 04 April 2026)
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST, OBC, and other reserved categories as per Government of India rules

Salary

  • Consolidated salary: Rs. 18,000 per month + 10% HRA
  • Total monthly take-home: Rs. 19,800 per month (as per ICMR sanction letter)
  • Benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, LTC, Medical Claim, and Staff Quarters are not available for project positions

Selection Process

Selection will be done through the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on desirable qualifications and experience
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The interview date and list of eligible candidates will be posted on the AIIMS Rishikesh website
  3. Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates at the time of interview. Failure to produce originals will lead to disqualification

The Institute may also conduct a written test or skill test if required.

जिम्मेदारियाँ

  • Collect blood and urine samples from study subjects and process them (centrifugation, pipetting, and storage in deep freezer)
  • Perform peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) separation and storage
  • Handle sample transportation between study sites
  • Assist in patient recruitment for the i-CARE-T1D research project
  • Coordinate project activities with PGI Chandigarh
  • Explain research procedures and collect informed consent from study subjects
  • Manage data entry and compilation of research data in Excel sheets
  • Carry out all tasks assigned towards project activities as directed by the Principal Investigator

पात्रता मानदंड

न्यूनतम योग्यता

10th Pass + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI) with 2 years experience OR BSc MLT with 1 year experience

वांछित योग्यता

Knowledge of computer applications (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Fluency in Hindi and English; Experience in immunology, molecular biology or cell biology

आवश्यक कौशल

Blood collection, centrifugation, sample processing, PBMC separation, data entry in Excel

18 - 35 वर्ष (04 अप्रै. 2026 तक)
