All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released Advertisement No. Admn/Faculty/04/2026-AIIMS.JDH for 190 Group 'A' faculty posts spread across 40 clinical and para-clinical departments on a direct recruitment basis. Anaesthesiology and Critical Care has the highest number of vacancies (19), followed by Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Medical Oncology/Haematology with 10 posts each. Doctors and medical academicians with the required postgraduate qualification and teaching or research experience should apply — both Indian Nationals and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders are eligible.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Level 14A - Rs. 1,68,900/month):

• MD/MS or an equivalent postgraduate medical qualification, with 14 years of teaching and/or research experience in the subject after your postgraduate degree.
• For super-specialty departments: M.Ch./D.M. with 12 years experience (or 11 years if you hold the 3-year/6-year route degree).
• Non-medical candidates: Master's degree in the concerned specialty plus a Doctorate degree, with 14 years of experience.

For Additional Professor (Level 13-A2+ - Rs. 1,48,200/month):

• MD/MS with 10 years experience, or M.Ch./D.M. (super-specialty) with 8 years experience (7 years for the 3-year/6-year route degree).
• Non-medical candidates: Master's degree plus a Doctorate degree, with 10 years of experience.

For Associate Professor (Level 13-A1+ - Rs. 1,38,300/month):

• MD/MS with 6 years experience, or M.Ch./D.M. (super-specialty) with 4 years experience (3 years for the 3-year/6-year route degree).
• Non-medical candidates: Master's degree plus a Doctorate degree, with 6 years of experience.

For Assistant Professor (Level 12 - Rs. 1,01,500/month):

• MD/MS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant discipline.
• Experience requirement varies by department and sub-specialty — typically 1 to 3 years of teaching/research experience, though some super-specialty degrees (M.Ch./D.M. of 3-year or 6-year duration) do not need additional experience.
• For Dentistry posts: BDS plus MDS in the relevant specialty, with 3 years' experience.

DNB/DrNB holders can apply if their qualification is recognized as equivalent to MD/MS/DM/M.Ch. as per NMC guidelines, with documentary evidence.

Age Limit

• Professor/Additional Professor: Upper age limit is 58 years as on the closing date, 12 September 2026.
• Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Upper age limit is 50 years as on the closing date.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, PwBD candidates get 5 years, and Government servants/Ex-servicemen get 5 years relaxation beyond the upper age limit.
• No age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved (UR) vacancies.

Salary

• Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 14A, Basic Rs. 1,68,900 per month.
• Additional Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13-A2+, Basic Rs. 1,48,200 per month.
• Associate Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13-A1+, Basic Rs. 1,38,300 per month.
• Assistant Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 12, Basic Rs. 1,01,500 per month (moves to Level 13, Basic Rs. 1,23,100, after 3 years).
• All posts carry usual Central Government allowances (DA, HRA, TA) admissible to employees of similar status at Jodhpur, plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medically qualified candidates.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 3,000
• SC / ST / Women / Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities: Rs. 200 (refunded, after deducting bank charges, only to candidates who appear in the interview)
• Payment mode: Online only, through the AIIMS Jodhpur payment gateway.
• The fee once paid is not refundable except for the SC/ST/Women/PwBD category as noted above. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your bio-data, the Selection Committee will shortlist candidates for interview.
2. Personal Interview: Held at AIIMS Jodhpur. You need to score at least 60% for EWS/UR, 55% for OBC, and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates to qualify.

No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview, and mere possession of the minimum qualification does not entitle you to selection.
