All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur (AIIMS Gorakhpur) is hiring a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for the Department of Cardiology. The role supports the ICMR-funded extramural project CARDINAL, a pilot study using AI-driven risk detection and integrated analysis for advanced cardiovascular care. This is a purely temporary research assignment under the project's principal investigator, making it best suited to someone comfortable with both health-research work and digital tools.

The project combines cardiovascular research, field coordination and data-led risk detection. Your background may come from postgraduate study or a four-year engineering, information technology or computer science programme, while experience around public health, psychology, multicentre projects or software platforms can strengthen your fit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: the project appointment normally begins for six months or less, depending on the remaining project term and operational need.
• Extension: continuation depends on your performance, available funds, project tenure, functional need and approval from the competent authority.
• Temporary status: this assignment creates no claim to a regular post, absorption or another project role at AIIMS Gorakhpur, ICMR or any government organisation.
• Work site: the usual base is the study site at AIIMS Gorakhpur, though research needs may require work at another study location.
• Field work: the selected researcher may need to visit field sites as the study requires.
• Shortlisting: meeting the basic requirements does not guarantee an interview; AIIMS Gorakhpur may use higher criteria if the applicant pool is large.
• Joining: the selected person is expected to join promptly after the result, subject to the project team's instructions.
• Benefits: project staff do not receive provident fund, Leave Travel Concession or medical-claim benefits under this engagement.
• Travel: AIIMS Gorakhpur will not pay TA or DA for the interview, and you must arrange your own travel and stay.
• Current employment: people holding regular or permanent government posts cannot apply; other employed candidates need an employer NOC at the interview.
• Performance: the principal investigator may end the appointment if work is not satisfactory, and the institute may change or cancel the recruitment process.
