AIIMS New Delhi Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Department of Neurosurgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released an advertisement for 1 Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical) post to work on an ICMR-funded research project (Project Code: I-1595) focused on developing Artificial Intelligence tools for grading Gamma Knife Radiosurgery imaging for the assessment of dural-based lesions. The department is located at Ansari Nagar, New Delhi - 110029, and the project uses AI and machine learning to bring more consistency and accuracy to how these lesions are graded from imaging scans. The position is purely temporary and contractual and will initially run till the completion of the project or up to 20 January 2027, whichever is earlier, with a possibility of extension. This is a good opportunity for engineering/IT graduates interested in medical imaging and AI research, working under the guidance of Principal Investigator Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Kedia.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a four-year Engineering / IT / Computer Science graduate degree.
• Experience: You should have 5 years of experience, preferably in medical imaging, artificial intelligence, machine learning, medical image annotation, or related fields.

Age Limit

• You should not be above 45 years of age.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per ICMR guidelines for reserved categories.

Salary

• The salary for this post will be paid as per ICMR guidelines, depending on your qualifications and experience level.
• Since the pay follows standard ICMR consolidated pay norms for Project Research Scientist-III positions, your exact take-home amount will be confirmed at the time of selection.
