Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement lasts 12 months. Extension up to 3 years depends on the Principal Investigator or co-investigator's performance review, the laboratory's needs and the funding agency's budget.
• Continuation: Your engagement ends when the contract expires. The appointment gives you no claim to a regular post, permanent absorption or another contract at AIIMS Bilaspur or the funding agency.
• Ending the contract: Either side may give one month's notice. That notice condition does not apply when the authorities change the VRDL staff structure or status, and the notice also reserves the authority's right to end an engagement.
• Full-time commitment: Private practice is not permitted. Your work may include shifts, night duty and field visits, and the institute may assign you to different places within its premises.
• Accommodation and leave: AIIMS Bilaspur will not provide hostel accommodation or other housing. Your leave follows the funding agency's policy and any later changes to that policy.
• Conduct: Institute conduct and discipline rules apply to the appointment. Canvassing is prohibited, and false information or withheld facts can lead to disqualification or removal.
• Travel: You must meet your own travel and daily expenses for attending. The institute will not consider applicants who are absent.
• Recruitment changes: AIIMS Bilaspur may amend or cancel the notice, in whole or in part. Updates will appear on its website; you should check them because individual messages will not be sent.

Your application and undertaking must use the Annexure 3 and Annexure 2 formats, respectively, and must be typed and signed. Hand in the completed papers at the office of the Head of the Department of Microbiology on the walk-in day.

Electronic gadgets are prohibited in the assessment area. The institute has no safekeeping facility for valuables, so any items you bring remain your responsibility.
