ECHS Raipur Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Station Headquarters Raipur, under the Ministry of Defence, is recruiting medical, paramedical and non-medical staff for its polyclinics in Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur. These are contractual appointments, with different engagement terms for ex-servicemen and civilians. You can choose from clinical and support roles, but the available location depends on the post.
Posts and Disciplines
- Medical Officer: The medical appointments are attached to the Bilaspur and Jagdalpur polyclinics.
- Dental Officer: Dental posts are spread across Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur, covering all the locations in this notice.
- Nursing Assistant: This paramedical opening is attached to the Raipur polyclinic.
- Lab Technician: The laboratory post is based at Jagdalpur.
- Pharmacist: Pharmacy appointments are available at Raipur and Jagdalpur.

Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial contract: Ex-servicemen are engaged for one year and civilian applicants for 11 months. Your contract category therefore affects the initial period of engagement.
- Renewal: The notice allows renewal only for ex-servicemen if needed, for another year or up to the applicable age ceiling. Renewal depends on performance and the other conditions attached to the post.
- Preference: Ex-servicemen receive preference. The reservation split is 60% ex-servicemen and 40% civilians for Medical Officer and Dental Officer, and 70% ex-servicemen and 30% civilians for the remaining posts.
- Travel arrangements: No travelling or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview. Keep your travel and stay arrangements in mind if you need to come from another town.

The deadline is for receipt of your application; applications arriving after it will not be accepted. Interview date, time and venue will be communicated by telephone or email. You need the qualification and experience specified for your chosen post. Requirements range from literacy or Class 8 for support roles to nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, MBBS or BDS qualifications for clinical roles.
