YSPUHF Guest Faculty Geoinformatics Recruitment 2026: Overview
Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (YSPUHF) is engaging Guest Faculty in Geo-informatics / Remote Sensing and GIS at its main campus in Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The Department of Agrometeorology and Environmental Science, within the College of Forestry, needs teaching support for its postgraduate programmes and other postgraduate students of the college. The engagement is on a lecture basis, so you should consider it as guest teaching under the department's stated terms.
Service Conditions and Caveats

Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures in Geo-informatics.
- Teach Remote Sensing to postgraduate students.
- Teach Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

- Provide course teaching for Environmental Sciences and other College of Forestry postgraduate students.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
M.Tech in Geo-informatics and NET/SET in the relevant discipline. NET/SET may be relaxed for a Ph.D. holder with coursework and a good publication record.
Preferred Qualification
Expertise in Remote Sensing and GIS mapping, machine learning, Q-GIS, ARCSWAT with ARCGIS, and data analysis.
