Service Conditions and Caveats

• Appointment period: Your engagement can last up to eleven months. It ends earlier if the post is filled through a regular appointment.
• Permanent service: This engagement gives you no claim to a permanent university post. At joining, you must give the Registrar, TANUVAS, Chennai, an undertaking to that effect on Rs. 100 stamp paper.
• Leave: Only casual leave is available under this appointment. You earn one day for each completed calendar month; the notice excludes other kinds of leave.
• Work allocation: You will carry out duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the college during the engagement.
• Accuracy of information: Incomplete or false information can lead to rejection. If false information or documents come to light after appointment, the university can end the appointment without advance notice.
• Service and legal disclosures: You must disclose any suspension, removal from earlier service, criminal prosecution or punishment, where applicable.
• Travel arrangements: You bear the cost of attending the interview. TANUVAS will not provide TA/DA.
• Conduct: Trying to influence the selection committee or university authorities, directly or indirectly, can disqualify your application.
