SDAU JRF Recruitment 2026: Overview

Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at its Centre for Oilseeds Research in Sardarkrushinagar, Banaskantha district, Gujarat. The post is funded by an outside-agency research project that tests the bio-efficacy of a seed treatment product (fungicide + insecticide), "UPST 723", in groundnut. If you hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture and want hands-on field research experience in oilseed crops, this is a short, focused project to start with.

Selection is through a walk-in interview at the centre itself, so there is no online form or written test — you simply turn up with your papers on the interview day.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The post is purely temporary for 11 months or until the project ends, whichever comes first, and ends automatically when the project closes.
• No job guarantee: SDAU is not bound to give you any job after the project period.
• Performance: Your contract can be ended without notice if your work is unsatisfactory or in case of misconduct.
• Priority: Candidates with higher qualifications and relevant experience get priority, and computer knowledge is an added advantage.
• Extra work: Apart from project work, you will do tasks given by the Principal Investigator and the Research Scientist of the centre.
• Interview marks: The biodata sheet scores education, medals and awards, experience, publications, extra-curricular activities, Gujarati language knowledge and computer knowledge.
• Travel: You attend the interview at your own cost.

• Carry out bio-efficacy trials of the UPST 723 seed treatment product in groundnut
• Record and compile trial observations for the research project
• Assist the Principal Investigator in running the project at the Centre for Oilseeds Research
• Handle other work assigned by the Principal Investigator and the Research Scientist (Oilseeds)
