Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) is hiring 1 Tourist Officer for the Tourism Department, Government of Mizoram. This is a Group 'B' Gazetted permanent post in Pay Level 9 of the Pay Matrix. Mizoram PSC Tourist Officer Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has released Advertisement No. 3 of 2026-2027 dated 22 April 2026 for direct recruitment to the post of Tourist Officer under the Tourism Department. The exam will be conducted by MPSC and applications must be submitted through the official online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or above in Hospitality, Hotel, Travel & Tourism Management/Administration from a recognised University. OR Graduate with a Diploma or above in Hospitality, Hotel, Travel & Tourism Management/Administration from a recognised University/Institution.
• Computer Proficiency: You must have computer proficiency as prescribed under the Mizoram Group 'A', 'B' and 'C' posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency. If you studied Mizo as a subject in Class 10 (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, you are exempted from this test.
• Government servants must apply through proper channel.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age reference date: 1 January 2026
• Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for ST/SC candidates or as notified by the Government from time to time.
• For age proof, your HSLC/HSSLC certificates showing date of birth will be accepted.

Salary

• Pay: Level 9 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Classification: Group 'B' Gazetted post.
• You will get standard government allowances (DA, HRA, TA) on top of basic pay as applicable in Mizoram.

Application Fee

• Persons with disabilities are exempted from payment of application fees.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If paying through UPI, you must use only the mobile number used for One Time Registration (OTR).

Selection Process

1. Online Application & OTR: Submit your application along with the One Time Registration on the MPSC online portal.
2. Direct Recruitment Examination: A written exam conducted by MPSC. The detailed syllabus is available on the Commission's website at the syllabus link.
3. Mizo Language Proficiency Test: A qualifying test (skipped if you studied Mizo in Class 10 or used it as MIL).
4. Document Verification: Documents proving your eligibility must not be dated later than the last date of application.
5. Final Selection: Based on combined performance.

How to Apply

1. Visit the MPSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) first. New applicants must register before 4:00 PM on 29 May 2026. Account holders from the old portal must create a new account.
3. OTR will be verified by MPSC before you can submit applications.
4. Login, fill the application form for Tourist Officer (Advertisement No. 3 of 2026-27), and upload required documents.
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Verify that your application is actually submitted after payment, otherwise your candidature will not be considered.
7. Submit before 4:00 PM on 29 May 2026.
