MANIT Bhopal JRF ISEA Project Recruitment 2026: Overview

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal is taking a Junior Research Fellow into the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase-III, funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The work sits with the institute's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, under Prof. R.K. Pateriya as Principal Investigator and Prof. Deepak Singh Tomar as Co-Principal Investigator.

The project sets out to design and build practical frameworks and approaches for information security and security awareness, so the fellow spends real time with cryptography, network security and cyber forensics tools rather than only with papers. The post is purely temporary and is governed by the funding agency's rules together with the service conditions of MANIT Bhopal. Anyone finishing a computer science or electronics engineering degree who wants a research start inside a national-level institute can apply, and a GATE score helps your case.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the engagement begins for six months and can be renewed half-yearly, based on how you perform and whether the budget allows it. The project runs up to January 2029, so no extension can go beyond that point.
• Nature of the post: purely temporary and contractual — it carries no claim to a regular post at the institute.
• Ph.D. option: the selected fellow may register for a Ph.D. at MANIT Bhopal if the institute's own admission conditions are met, which is the real draw of this position.
• Shortlisting: holding the prescribed qualification does not get you an interview call. The project team shortlists on merit and on what the project needs at that point.
• If you are already employed: a No Objection Certificate from your employer is needed at the interview, whether you work in a private, government or any other organisation.
• Travel: no TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Your claims: you carry full responsibility for the information, documents and photographs you submit, and the institute can reject an application at any stage.
