JKB Security Officer and FL Counsellor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited (J&K Bank) is recruiting Zonal Security Officers and Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellors through its Human Resources department. These contractual assignments support the bank's security arrangements and its financial education work with the public. The roles serve different parts of the bank: security officers work through zonal offices, while counsellors support district-level financial inclusion.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Zonal Security Officer: The assignments are at zonal offices in Srinagar, Anantnag, Ladakh, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Your work connects local security arrangements with the bank's Central Security Department.
  • FL Counsellor: These assignments are at the Lead District Offices in Baramulla and Bandipora. The role focuses on financial education and credit counselling for people in rural and urban areas.

Post-wise Duties

Zonal Security Officer

You will help put the bank's security policy into practice and review how it works at bank premises. The role includes planning security arrangements with the Central Security Department and keeping security staff trained, effective and disciplined.

You will also stay in touch with police, fire services and government authorities so they can coordinate with the bank on property security. Your professional inputs will help the central team identify weaknesses and improve the security setup.

FL Counsellor

You will explain savings, responsible borrowing, banking products and digital banking in ways that suit different groups. The notice puts special attention on people who have recently joined the banking system and need help using their accounts meaningfully.

Your work also includes debt counselling and financial literacy camps. You will help distressed borrowers prepare restructuring proposals for financial institutions to consider, publicise camps through local channels, and explain customers' rights. Counselling and debt-management support must remain free for the public.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract duration: Engagement can run for up to three years from joining, with continuation depending on a satisfactory annual performance review.
  • End of engagement: The contract is not renewed after its full term. You may apply in a fresh engagement exercise if you still meet its conditions.
  • Employment status: This is a contractual appointment and gives no claim to regular employment with the bank.
  • Oversight: Lead District Managers and the Financial Inclusion Department monitor counsellors' work and report their feedback to the bank's management.
  • Communication: Keep your registered email active. The bank sends interview calls by email, sends no paper call letter, and uses your registered email for later updates.
  • Travel: You must meet your own travel and other expenses for attending the interview or interaction.
  • Accuracy: False information or forged records can lead to rejection, termination of engagement and legal action.
  • Bank's discretion: The bank may reject an application, cancel the recruitment or change its assessment arrangements according to its needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and review security arrangements at bank premises as a Zonal Security Officer.
  • Train security staff and monitor their discipline and readiness.
  • Coordinate security matters with police, fire services and government authorities.
  • Explain savings, responsible borrowing and digital banking as an FL Counsellor.
  • Conduct at least 2 digital literacy camps and 5 target-specific camps each month.
