Responsibilities
- Assist assigned departments with day-to-day academic or administrative tasks
- Support technical or research activities under the guidance of faculty or senior staff
- Maintain records, files, and documentation as directed by the supervising officer
- Participate in departmental meetings, events, and training sessions
- Handle data entry, report preparation, and official correspondence as required
- Follow all rules, regulations, and schedules set by IUST and NATS
- Complete the one-year training programme and submit a training completion report
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Graduate (any stream) with 60% marks OR 3-Year Diploma in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks, completed within last 4 years
Preferred Qualification
B.Tech in CSE/CE/ME/EE/FT/IT or relevant discipline; strong communication skills and computer knowledge (MS Office)

Graduate Apprentices get a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,300 (Rs. 4,500 from NATS + Rs. 7,800 from IUST). Technician Apprentices (3-Year Diploma holders) get Rs. 10,900 per month (Rs. 4,500 from NATS + Rs. 6,400 from IUST). Stipends are paid through VAN (Virtual Account Number).
You need a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Lib, BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, or BCA) or a 3-Year Diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks. Your degree must have been completed within the last 4 years as on the last date of application (30 April 2026).
First, register on the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in and select IUST Awantipora as your institute. Then visit recruitment.iust.ac.in to complete the University registration and pay the Rs. 200 fee online. Take printouts of both forms and submit hard copies to the Office of Dean Outreach, IUST Main Campus, Awantipora by 08 May 2026.
No, there is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is based on your academic merit (60% weightage) and an interview (40% weightage). Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in their qualifying degree, and shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
