IIT Indore JRF Chemical Engineering Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Chemical Engineering at its Simrol campus. The IIT Indore Drishti CPS Foundation funds the project, titled Dissipation-based paradigm for the fabrication of a synthetic heart. The appointment connects polymer research with the mechanical response of soft human tissue, within a project-based research engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial appointment: You will join for 12 months. The institute may extend the appointment if your performance is satisfactory, so continuation depends on its assessment of your work.
• PhD opportunity: The selected fellow will be encouraged to register for IIT Indore's PhD programme under the institute's rules. The project appointment itself does not confirm PhD admission.
• Fellowship continuation: If you are selected for the PhD programme, the fellowship can continue for the PhD duration under institute norms. This condition links the longer research opportunity to a separate admission decision.
• Travel expenses: The institute will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview. Keep this restriction in mind when making any arrangements connected with your application.
• Application completeness: IIT Indore will reject incomplete applications. The notice asks for a combined submission so your application material reaches the project contact together.
