Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) is engaging a Finance Controller for the Project Management Unit working on the GoVan initiative, formally called Conservation of Biodiversity through Livelihood Intervention. The role connects project finance with the Board's work on biodiversity-based livelihoods, so you will need to understand both day-to-day accounts and the controls used in government-supported projects. This is a project-linked contractual engagement, suited to a commerce professional who can work closely with programme staff rather than in a stand-alone accounts office.

The Project Management Unit operates from the Board's office at Saligao in North Goa. The notification places particular importance on practical command of government accounting procedures, Tally and clear communication with the project team. Knowledge of the local working environment matters because the role supports an initiative being implemented within Goa and involves records connected with livelihoods and environmental work.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The engagement initially runs with the approved project period and may continue only if a further extension receives approval. It is not a regular Board appointment.
• Goa residence: You must be a Goa resident and produce a current certificate showing 15 years of residence from the competent authority.
• Language: Written and spoken English and Konkani are essential. Marathi is useful for the work but is listed as desirable.
• Joining: The selected person must be ready to join immediately after the Board completes the engagement formalities.
• Leaving the project: The appointment carries a one-month notice condition. If you leave without completing that minimum notice, one month's salary may be forfeited.
• Interview travel: The Board will not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in.
• Final decision: The interview panel's decision is binding, and the Board may approach the next ranked person when an appointee leaves during the early part of the engagement.

This is a walk-in process, so there is no online application form. Report to the Office of the Member Secretary, GSBB, opposite Saligao Seminary, near Saligao Police Station, Saligao, Bardez, Goa on the notified interview day. Registration is open from 9:30 am to 11:30 am; late registration will not be accepted.

Carry your originals together with self-attested copies and a bio-data set. Each copied certificate should carry the statement "This certificate is true copy of the original" above your signature. Attach a recent passport-size photograph to the bio-data, and keep the residence and employment-card records ready because the Board specifically checks them at registration.
