CUSAT Assistant Professor Chemical Oceanography Recruitment 2026: Overview
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is hiring an Assistant Professor on contract for its Department of Chemical Oceanography in Kochi. The opening is for teaching in Chemical Oceanography, and the notice is addressed to the department and the School of Marine Sciences. Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract duration: The initial appointment is for one year, or until a regular recruit takes over, whichever happens first. Keep this earlier-end condition in mind when considering the offer.
- Vacation break: The contract includes a break during May and June. The stated year-long term therefore includes a vacation interruption.

- Reservation: The university applies its communal reservation policy at appointment. Departments and centres are treated together as a single unit for this purpose.
- Claims in your form: CUSAT considers only claims made in the original application. You cannot add a new claim later during processing, and unsupported claims will not be considered.
- Late applications: The university rejects applications that arrive after the applicable closing date. Allow time for the printed application to reach the Registrar as well as completing your online form.
