BHEL Project Consultants Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is engaging experienced project consultants through its Heavy Power Equipment Plant in Hyderabad for major steam-turbine and boiler assignments. The work is site-focused and suits retired technical executives who have already handled power-plant erection, commissioning and performance testing. Both assignments involve live industrial project execution, so BHEL is looking for people who can guide site teams and solve technical issues without a long learning period.

The roles sit within BHEL's wider engineering and project-delivery network, but your day-to-day contribution will be tied to either the JSW Dolvi steam turbine generator package or the BPCL Bina boiler package. The consultants report to BHEL-HPEP, Hyderabad, while working at the assigned project site or another location chosen by management.

• STG Project Consultant: supports erection, alignment, testing and commissioning of the 1X250 MW steam turbine generator and its auxiliaries at JSW Dolvi in Maharashtra.
• Boiler Project Consultant: supports erection, alignment, testing and commissioning of the 1X265 TPH boiler and its auxiliaries at BPCL Bina in Madhya Pradesh.

Post-wise Duties

STG Project Consultant

You will give hands-on technical guidance during turbine-generator erection and commissioning, review drawings and activity schedules, witness key site work and help resolve performance problems. Your advice will also support test-result validation, performance-guarantee testing and the final handover of the STG plant.

Boiler Project Consultant

You will provide specialist boiler-execution support covering erection, alignment, testing and commissioning. The assignment includes checking engineering documents, helping site teams troubleshoot problems, recording observations and supporting performance testing through final acceptance.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the Dolvi assignment begins with a 13-month term and the Bina assignment with a 19-month term. Extensions may be granted for up to one year at a time until the work finishes, subject to the overall tenure limit stated in the notice.
• Confidentiality: people still bound by a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement with a previous employer cannot apply. The selected consultants must sign BHEL's own confidentiality agreement.
• Conduct record: applicants who received a major punishment during prior service are not considered for engagement.
• Deployment: BHEL may place you at the named site or another project location based on operational need.
• Clearance: vigilance clearance is needed before the offer for retirees from government-controlled bodies and specified government services.

Use that login to upload your Letter of Interest, biodata and supporting records, and make sure the portal shows both parts of the application as COMPLETED. BHEL will not accept a hard copy or attach documents received later by email.
