AMU Guest Teacher Linguistics Recruitment 2026: Overview

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is engaging a Guest Teacher in the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, at Aligarh. The appointment is for the academic session 2026-27, with an earlier end if the GSC is held. This is a guest teaching engagement with a defined academic-session limit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• End of engagement: Your appointment lasts until the end of the stated academic session or until the GSC is held, whichever comes first. The university may also end it at any time without notice or a stated reason.
• Application scrutiny: Meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee that you will be called. AMU may restrict the shortlist using its rules or other criteria, and it will not correspond with applicants who are not shortlisted.
• Recruitment changes: The university may change the number or nature of posts at the interview stage. It also retains the right to amend or cancel all or part of the advertisement.
• Corrections during recruitment: If an error is found during scrutiny or selection, AMU can modify or cancel the process, including after an interview or appointment letter has been issued.
• Travel arrangements: You will need to bear your own travel and daily expenses if called for interview; the university does not pay TA/DA.
• Updates: Watch the Department of Linguistics website for the shortlist and interview schedule. No separate interview letter will be sent. Amendments to the advertisement will appear on the Careers Portal.
• Application completeness: AMU can reject incomplete forms and applications on plain paper. It will not accept requests to add information after the closing date, and it does not take responsibility for delayed or missing postal delivery.

Write the post applied for, advertisement number and advertisement date at the top-left of the envelope. The notice calls for an A-4 printout bearing your signature and a recent front-facing photograph in the spaces provided.
