The Office of the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat Jashpur (Chhattisgarh) is filling Gram Panchayat Secretary (Panchayat Karmi) posts in the village panchayats of Jashpur district. The drive follows fresh instructions from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and the Panchayat Directorate, Nava Raipur, which revised the qualifications for this post in 2026.

This drive is only for local residents of Jashpur district. You need a Class 12 pass plus a one-year diploma in Data Entry Operator or Programming. There is no written exam — selection is on a merit list built from your marks, a computer skill test and any experience as a Rozgar Sahayak. Most of the posts are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, and one of those is set aside for a woman.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: You must be a local resident of Jashpur district and attach a self-attested residence certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Employment exchange: You need a live employment exchange registration on the date you apply.
• Qualification cut-off: Your qualifications must be complete before the advertisement date.
• Marriage rule: Women who married before 18 and men who married before 21 cannot be appointed.
• Probation: Selected secretaries serve a 3-year probation, which can be stretched to 5 years; unsatisfactory work ends the appointment.
• Notice period: Either side can end the appointment with one month's notice or one month's pay instead.

• Tie-break: If two candidates have equal merit marks, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets preference.
• Government employees: Apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate.
• Changes: The number of posts and the terms of the advertisement can be changed by the appointing authority.
