Sikkim CM Model School Administrator Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Education Department, Government of Sikkim is looking for an Administrator to run the Chief Minister's Model School (CMMS), Hee Gyathang in Mangan District. The post was created through Notification No. 585/SCH/DIR/EDN/2026 dated 1 October 2026, and this advertisement now fills it on a contract basis.
What makes this opening unusual is who can apply: it is reserved for retired officers of the Indian Army. Civilians and serving officers are outside its scope. If you retired from the Army at a rank equal to Level 11 or above of the 7th Pay Commission and have spent years handling administration, people, logistics and security, the department wants that experience to run a residential school campus.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Who qualifies: You must have served in the Indian Army and held a post analogous to Level 11 or above of the 7th CPC at the time of retirement.
- Contract term: The engagement starts for 3 years and can be extended by 2 more years on the recommendation of a selection committee.
- Stay on campus: The selected person must be willing to live in the premises of the residential Model School.
- School rules: During the contract you will be bound by the rules and regulations of the Model School.
- Shortlisting: The department may set a higher bar than the minimum for qualification and experience to limit the number of people called for interview, so list every extra qualification and experience you have, with proof.
- Process changes: The department keeps the right to change the selection process at any stage, and its decision in any dispute is final.
