WCD Korba Security Guard Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development (WCD), Korba is hiring a Security Guard / Night Guard for the Sakhi One Stop Centre at Katghora. One Stop Centres give shelter, police help, legal aid and counselling to women facing violence, so this guard keeps the centre and the women staying there safe, including at night.

The Chhattisgarh government has moved One Stop Centres to a new financial model with fully outsourced staff, run under the 2022 Sakhi guidelines. That means you are engaged as an individual service provider on a fixed monthly service fee, not as a regular government employee. Only women can apply, and the notice prefers retired military or para-military personnel.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Women only: This is a women's post; only female candidates should apply.
• Domicile: You must be a native resident of Chhattisgarh, proved by a residence certificate from the competent authority.
• Tenure: The first engagement is for up to two years. After that, the District Collector can extend it one year at a time based on your work and conduct.
• Temporary engagement: The engagement is purely temporary. Either side can end it with one month's notice or one month's fee in lieu, and the post ends when the central scheme ends.
• Fixed fee only: You get only the consolidated monthly service fee — no other pay, allowance or grant. The fee rises only if the Government of India raises it.
• Leave: You are eligible for maternity leave. Travel allowance is paid only when the office sends you on duty travel or training.
• Conduct rules: You are bound by the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965.
• Police verification: Because the work is sensitive, a police background check is needed before appointment, and you must also attach a non-conviction certificate with the application.
• Confidentiality: You must keep all details of victims and cases secret and give a confidentiality affidavit; a breach ends your service.
• Medical fitness: You must submit a fitness certificate within one month of selection, or the engagement ends.
• Marriage rules: A candidate who married below the legal minimum age, or who married a man with a living wife, is not eligible. Selected candidates give a notarised affidavit on a Rs. 50 stamp paper about this.
• Experience proof: Experience counts only with a certificate verified by a gazetted officer; voluntary service certificates are not accepted, and the Collector's decision on experience is final.
• Preference: On equal marks, preference goes to service providers of the earlier One Stop Centre setup whose services ended, and to candidates also shortlisted for District Women Empowerment Centre posts.
